Weekly or Bi-weekly maintenance and cleaning are required to keep your pool safe and clean. Whether or not you need the full range of services provided by DMV Pool Service, it yet really depends on how much time and effort you are willing to spend on your swimming pool yourself. Service Description.
Spring Pool Opening
- Inspect, remove, clean up, and fold the swimming pool/SPA cover. Storage in place indicated by the Owner. Inspect pool/spa shell for structural damage or other conditions
- Blow all leaves and debris from the pool/spa deck
- Check the condition of the sand/glass filter, cartridges, or D.E. grids. Clean or replace after Owner’s approval
- Visually inspect and assemble pool/spa pump and other pool equipment ( buster pumps, filters, heaters, feeders, etc. )
- Inspect the pool equipment breaker panel. Turn ON the system breakers. Prime the pool system.
- Check water circulation for adequate flow
- Re-installation on ladders and handrails
- Vacuum swimming pool interior for up to 1 hour, using an external vacuum pump and power vac
- Water chemical tests, Startup Chemicals, and Diatomaceous Earth (DE) is included with the startup. Up to 3 bags of Salt included ( for saltwater pools )
- Visually Inspect Pump, Filter, and Heater for Proper Operations and report to the Owner
- Visually inspect all pool equipment and pipes for leaks
- Follow-up visit (add $150) – Re-vacuum the pool after 1-3 days, re-test and balance water ( PH, Cl, Total Alkalinity, Calcium Hardness, and Cyanuric Acid ), Skim water surface, Backwash and Clean/Wash filters, Clean pump hair-lint strainer.
- An additional charge of $50 applies for separate water vessels and features like SPA, Water Fall, Water Slide, Pool Retaining wall, etc.
* We Appreciate, If the Customer fills the pool water prior to the scheduled date of service. ( above the point of the middle of the tile or middle of the skimmer throat ). Swimming Pools with tarps or other non-safety pool cover applications may add an extra charge.
Fall Pool Closing
- Lower pool water to a proper Level ( 12-18 in. )
- Pressure air blowing all Pool/SPA lines and pool equipment
- Winterize filtration system and equipment ( Pumps, filters, heater, heat pump, chlorine sanitizers, water feature pumps, salt generator (if present), etc.) Remove all drain plugs from the equipment and store
- Add antifreeze to skimmers and pool lines
- Install all inlet and outlet winterization plugs
- Remove pool deck equipment – handrails, ladders, etc.
- Store deck equipment in the proper location indicated by the Owner
- Winterize the pool heater and turn off the gas supply
- Add winter algaecide and all winter chemicals as needed
- Install the Owner’s pool cover, if available
- Inspect and report to the Owner
- An additional charge of $50 applies for separate water vessels and features like SPA, Water Fall, Water Slide, Pool Retaining wall, etc.
Weekly / Bi-Weekly Maintenance Visit
- Water test, check all components of the balanced water ( PH, Cl/Br, Total Alkalinity, Stabilizer ( Cyanuric acid ), Calcium hardness, Salt level (if saltwater)
- Check pool/SPA equipment (pumps, filters, heater, sanitizer feeder, salt generator, etc.) for proper operations, damages, and leaks.
- Vacuum swimming pool interior
- Skim water surface
- Brush the Swimming pool basin, if needed
- Clean tile line, if needed
- Clean the pump hair-lint strainer and inspect the strainer basket for damage.
- Clean skimmer baskets, or other suction lines and main drain covers
- Backwash and clean filters (Sand/Glass or D.E. ), Wash Cartridge filters, if needed
- Air blow deck area around pool/spa
- Add all needed chemicals to balance Pool/SPA water ( PH, Cl/Br, Total Alkalinity, Stabilizer ( Cyanuric acid ), Calcium hardness).
- Inspect and adjust the pool timers, if present
- Notify the owner if there are recommendations or repairs needed.
Winter Protection Service – at $200.00
- Monthly service available ( from November to March)
- Water level adjustment (pool tiles freezing protect & pool cover damage)
- Chemical testing, add chlorine shock, refill chlorine floaters (if available) – add $100
- Inspect and adjust the pool cover ( for correct fit and lifelong)
- Snow and debris removal from pool cover ( if needed )
- Visual inspection of the pool area and pool filtration system – pumps, filters, heater, sanitizer feeder, salt generator, etc. ( written report can be provided )
